February: Lung cancer kills more people than any other cancer in China

China registered over 3.6 million new cases of malignant tumors and 2.2 million deaths from cancer in 2013, said the vice director of the national tumor register center, on February 18th, quoting the findings of a report released by the national cancer center. The report noted that 270.59 in every 100,000 people develop cancer in China. The report also revealed that there are around 733,000 new cases of lung cancer in China each year, with about 591,000 people dying from it annually making it the deadliest cancer in China.
